
As general manager, Jim Brown oversaw the start up of gaming operations at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino in Anderson, Ind. Opened as a Standardbred and Thoroughbred horseracing track in 1994, Hoosier Park debuted in June 2008 a Las-Vegas-style, 92,000-square-feet building north of the existing facility, featuring 2,000 state-of-the- art slot machines along with expanded food and beverage offerings and new dynamic entertainment venues.
Jim brings more than 25 years of gaming experience to Centaur, including solid operating experience in multiple jurisdictions. He also has direct experience in overall facility planning, development and construction, including oversight of multiple opening and expansion-related projects.
Most recently Jim served as president and general manager of Casino Aztar Evansville in southern Indiana. Jim held this position for 12 years, opening Indiana’s first casino gaming facility in 1995. He's also held senior management positions at the Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City, as well as Ramada Express Hotel & Casino in Laughlin, Nev.
Chairman of the board of directors of the Casino Association of Indiana from 2002 through 2007, Jim has a B.S. in Management and Administration from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
